I am about to release an album of my productions and I will be taking my years of DJing and making music back to the club. I've finally sat down and put together a mix that represents what 'The Soundsystem' is about when I'm playing in a good venue. This cut and paste funk mix was mainly done live with Decks 'n FX and then edited down a few times to cram all this stuff in! I've thrown in some unlisted samples and vocal cuts as well, layering things up on the edit. Ironically I can be even more technical live now thanks to Traktor Scratch, my Akai and turntables. I've DJ'ed with many of the artists on here from my years spinning with Cool Discs and all the other great promoters, venue managers and DJ's that have booked me over the years. We can rhyme off Afrika Bambaataa, Adam Freeland, Mr Scruff, Maseo (De La Soul), Deadly Avenger, RJD2, Dynamo Productions or DJ Punk Roc just in case you needed to be reminded of the DJing CV! There's plenty more where that came from. Thanks to Lee Mason & Jim Healy for putting on 'Praise' and letting me spin in the early days.
